Dot had got quite accustomed to drinking cold tea. She drained the last mouthful and placed the empty cup on the bedside table. Then she snuggled in close to Jac, who instantly put her arm around Dot’s shoulders, pulling her closer.

Dot bent down and kissed Jac’s breast. What started as a sweet little peck soon turned into Dot sucking and nibbling at Jac’s nipple.

“Hey, hey,” Jac reprimanded, playfully. “No funny business! It’s a workday.”

“I don’t seem to remember that being one of your objections before.” Dot diverted her attention to Jac’s other nipple.

Jac kissed the top of Dot’s head affectionately, while Dot slid her hand down under the duvet until she found Jac’s hot centre.

“Hey, I’m going to spill my coffee,” Jac said.

“See that as part of the challenge,” Dot teased.

Jac put down her cup and grabbed Dot by the shoulders, easily and playfully rolling her over until she was on top.

“Now, it is not like you to turn down a challenge,” Dot said.

“No, not turning it down, just postponing it.”

Dot looked perplexed. “Why? Do you have other people to see and places to be today?”

Jac kissed Dot. Then she pushed herself up and sat up.

“As a matter of fact, we both have.”

Dot frowned. “It’s Sunday. I’ve nowhere to be.”

Jac nodded. “Yes, you do. You’re coming with me to have lunch with Amenah.”

Dot immediately shook her head. “No way! I can’t.”

“You said you’d like to see her again. You said you’d come to have lunch with us one day.”

Dot nodded. “Yes, I did. But that was before… this,” Dot said, waving her hand between the two of them. “Jac, I can’t.”

“Yes, you can. Of course you can. I’ve already told her you’re coming, and she is dying to see you.”

Dot shook her head.

“There is nothing wrong with having lunch with two of your now ex-students from years ago, and in any case, you are no longer a teacher. Besides,” Jac bent down and punctuated her sentence with multiple kisses to Dot’s face, “contrary… to… popular… belief… the population of Skala Eressos cannot read minds.” Jac pulled away to take a better look at Dot. “If that is what you are worried about.”

Dot looked confused.

Jac waved her hand between them, echoing Dot’s movement from earlier.

“No one will deduce or know anything about this, about us, unless you want them to know, just because we have lunch out together.” Jac sat up straight and pulled Dot up with her. “Come on, it’ll be fun, you’ll see. Besides, we both could do with a bit of air and a walk around.” Jac got up off the bed. “I know for one my hamstrings are about to cramp from holding strange sexual positions for too long.”

That brought out a giggle, and a blush rose to Dot’s cheeks. Then, suddenly, a thought struck Dot. She covered her face with both hands.

“Oh, my God. Does Amenah know?” She slowly separated her fingers to peer at Jac through the gaps.

Jac sat down again on the edge of the bed.
